Tampons and your septic tank

Ladies, we often hear that we should not flush tampons. Some of us are left to wonder why. While tampons might not clog immediately clog your toilet in one flush; tampons do NOT break down in water and will build up over time.

The good news is that Tampons will most likely not going to clog the sewer line or ruin the tank, they will still be in there years to come.

It is important to note, that if you have a sewage pump, grinder pump, or seweage ejector pump, tampons could damage these components and cause a costly repair.

Watch the video below from Casey, showing you how tampons remain in your tank long after you flush them.
